Currently available regional seed mixtures
Currently, we divide Czech Republic into four main areas - technically called the Bohemian-Moravian Mesophyticum, the Bohemian Thermophyticum, the Carpathian Mesophyticum and the Pannonian Thermophyticum. In addition, we also separately distinguish mountain areas (= oreophyticum). Each of these areas has different conditions, and seeds should therefore not be transferred between them. However, when using regional seed mixtures, we divide these areas into smaller units, and we use regional mixtures only within them. These are not precisely defined, but are based on geographical areas of the Czech Republic (e.g. Šumava, Moravian Kras).
Currently, regional seed mixtures are not available for all parts of the Czech Republic. Where mixtures cannot be purchased, it is possible to use our database, find a nearby preserved meadow in it and collect seeds for sowing from this area with our help. However, the following list shows regional seed mixtures that are already available, which can be purchased from their manufacturers. When purchasing, the manufacturer will always indicate that it is a regional seed mixture.
