In Prague, visitors had a look at the machines and seeds
Summer is over, but meadow maintenance continues. Autumn is the ideal time to sow new plots of land. That is why we organized a workshop in September at the Jarov Secondary Vocational School in Prague, where we showed interested participants how to prepare seeds and what meadow maintenance entails. During the morning lecture block, participants learned why and how the Prague regional mixture was created from colleagues from the Prague City Hall, botanists, and gardeners from the Jarov Secondary Vocational School. They then gave the participants a tour of the grounds, showing them a professionally managed nursery and pre-grown seedlings. The workshop ended with a demonstration of the machines used by ZO ČSOP Šumava and Prague City Hall, including the opportunity to try them out.
We would like to thank all the speakers and participants and look forward to the next meeting and new flowering meadows!
The project is implemented with the financial support of the Ministry of Agriculture.
