The Norwegian project is behind us, but the work continues!
At the end of April this year, we successfully completed a project supported by Norway Grants. However, this does not mean that our work with regional seed mixtures has come to an end! On the contrary, we are continuing: we are planning a workshop, a lecture, and other activities supported by the Ministry of Agriculture. In addition, we are also working in the field: seeds for the next season are already ripening, and regional seed mixtures intended for nature conservation are slowly but surely becoming a reality. The ČSOP Pozemkový spolek Hády, in cooperation with ÚVR ČSOP, the Institute of Botany and Zoology at Masaryk University, the Podyjí National Park, and the South Moravian Region Environmental Protection Department, continues to streamline harvesting and improve machinery for species-rich regional seeds. The seeds currently harvested from the Hradiště terraces in the Podyjí National Park are intended for the restoration of meadow vegetation in the Šafářka nature reserve on the western edge of Znojmo.
